Blisters

Description:

Blisters are fluid filled bumps that look like bubbles. They develop when the outermost layer of skin detaches itself from the layer underneath forming a gap which is filled by the natural secretion sebum.

 

Symptoms:

Swellings on the skin that are filled with fluid and look similar to bubbles.

 

Causes:

Burns from exposure to:

    • Heat
    • Chemicals
    • Electricity
    • Radiation
    • Friction

Inflammation

Infections

Allergic reactions

 

Treatments:

Smaller blisters often heal on there own so trying to avoid contact with the damaged area is sensible.

If you are worried about the condition of blisters contracted through a chemical hair treatment, you should visit your GP.
